The People’s National Party (PNP) has committed to providing support to the family of a teen boy who fell from a bus while travelling in a motorcade in Southborough, in Portmore, St. Catherine on Sunday.

15-year-old Lamar Grey of Gregory Park, later died at the Spanish Town hospital.

In a statement, the PNP said it deeply regrets the tragic incident and asked that the family be allowed the space they need to navigate the death of their loved one.

The PNP also emphasized the importance of heightened vigilance and attention to safety among supporters while campaigning.

Grey’s death is the third major incident involving political motorcades since the Local Government Election campaigns started.
