PM Andrew Holness says Jamaica must address violence in an instrumental way, to make the society liveable

Prime Minister Andrew Holness says violence must be addressed in an instrumental way, as part of efforts to make the Jamaican society liveable.

He states that people expect civility, peace and patience with each other, among other things.

Mr. Holness says some of those values have been lost and can be reclaimed through the education system.

The Prime Minister adds that the society needs to come to the understanding that the education system is structured to deliver values.

He was speaking at a town hall meeting in Canada, last night (October 19).
