PIOJ reports 7.9% increase in electricity consumption, 0.3% decline in water
Electricity consumption in the country increased by 7.9 per cent during the April to June quarter of 2023.
That’s according to Director general of the planning institute of Jamaica Dr Wayne Henry.
He was speaking at the institution’s quarterly press conference on Thursday.
He added that Clarendon recorded the highest electricity usage.
Meantime, water consumption declined by 0.3 percent, during the April to June quarter of this year.
Dr Henry explained that this statistic reflects reductions in 6 parishes.
