Over $50 million to be allocated to Municipal Corporations for labour day activities
Over $50 million will be allocated to Municipal Corporations to support labour day activities, with primary focus on persons with disabilities.
Local Government Minister Desmond Mckenzie made the disclosure this morning at a council meeting in Portland.
Mr. Mckenzie explained that it is important that people who are physically challenged have access to facilities.
He urged councilors across the island to do what is necessary to promote more access to people within this group during the upcoming labour day.
Mr. Mckenzie said measures to support disabled people will continue to be implemented after labour day has passed.
