One of 3 water trucks procured for drought mitigation assistance to farmers, has arrived on the island
As drought conditions linger across the island, farmers continue to receive assistance under the Ministry of Agriculture’s 200-million-dollar drought-mitigation programme.
This, according to portfolio minister, Floyd Green.
Mr. Green noted that one of three trucks, purchased for the trucking of water to farmers, has arrived on the island.
Meantime, the Agriculture Minister acknowledged that prices for farm produce have gone up but said this is a global issue due to rising temperatures.
He was speaking yesterday with Information Minister Robert Morgan on the Good Morning Minister programme.
