Today is being observed as Paul Bogle Day, and marks the first of what will become an annual celebration, on October 11.

Culture Minister Olivia Grange announced in parliament on Tuesday that the observation is in commemoration of the hero’s contributions to the nation.

She said the proclamation of Bogle Day, has broken an old curse, on St Thomas.
