NWC to provide better service with 8 new water trucks – PM Holness

Come next week, the National Water Commission, NWC, will be able to lessen the effects of water disruptions on its customers, with eight new water trucks.

That’s according to Prime Minister Andrew Holness.

The vehicles were procured from tank weld limited at a cost of $105 million.

The new additions to the company’s fleet were officially handed over on Tuesday by the Prime Minister, during a ceremony at the NWC‘s Marescaux Road compound.

Mr Holness said, the government continues to invest in the capacity of the NWC, to be more responsive to the needs of citizens.

He said with the addition of 8 new water trucks, the n-w-c will be able to respond more effectively to water challenges in communities, facilities and institutions, such as police stations, schools and health facilities, when required.

However, he lamented that it is still not enough.
