Police Commissioner, Dr. Kevin Blake, says he does not believe there is a trust issue between citizens and members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).

He made the declaration during a recent press conference.

He was asked about the measures being taken by the police to ensure tips from citizens are treated confidentially.

The Commissioner explained that though there is a narrative that Jamaicans do not trust the police, the experiences of officers prove otherwise.

Pointing to statistics, Commissioner Blake said the clearing of over 600 murder cases annually, could not have been done without the trust of citizens.
