New ticketing system to be partly credited for reduction in road fatalities – Dr Jones

Increased efficiency in the new ticketing system is to be partly credited for a reduction in road fatalities so far this year.

That’s according to Vice Chairman of the National Road Safety Council, Dr. Lucien Jones.

Noting that there have been 15 road fatalities since January 1, Dr. Jones said this a 32 per cent reduction, as 22 people were killed in the same period last year.

Dr. Jones said the ticketing system contributed to this.

He said the council has met with government ministers about improvement of the ticketing system, with the hope that more lives will be saved.
