New police graduates encouraged to serve with integrity, discipline and professionalism
A new group of police officers has been urged to uphold the integrity of their office and to approach tasks with discipline and professionalism.
National Security Minister Dr. Horace Chang gave the charge at the passing out parade this afternoon.
293 new constables graduated, having completed their training at the National Police College of Jamaica.
The new officers are the first to be trained under the new competence based curriculum, which allows them to graduate with a diploma in policing.
They will earn an Associate Degree at the end of their probationary period.
The National Security Minister urged them to commit themselves fully to service.
