New police commissioner announces several changes to JCF leadership

Police Commissioner, Dr Kevin Blake, has announced several changes to leadership positions within the Jamaica Constabulary Force, JCF.

The changes are at the level of the high command, as well as other senior and middle management levels of the force.

They were announced in the JCF force orders.

Among the individuals being re-assigned, effective April 2, are Deputy Commissioner Clifford Blake, who moves to the Inspectorate and Professional Standards Oversight Bureau (IPROB), and Assistant Commissioner of Police Clifford Chambers, who will be assigned to the Office of The Commissioner.

ACP Calvin Allen moves to the area 3 headquarters; ACP Andrew Lewis goes to the crime and security portfolio; SSP Glenford Miller goes to area 1; SSP Kirk Ricketts moves to the security intelligence branch.

SSP Howard Chambers has been assigned to the Specialised Operations Branch, while Superintendent Hopeton Nicholson moves to the St Catherine North Division.

Commissioner Blake says the changes are in line with his strategic vision for the JCF under his leadership.

He says the reassignments highlight his desire to refresh and effectively utilize the diverse skills and talents within the leadership and management ranks.
