The new mayors for the Parish Municipal Corporations are expected to be sworn in this week.

Following the 2024 Local Government Election, there will be 7 mayors each for the Jamaica Labour Party, JLP and the People’s National Party, (PNP).

The JLP mayors will oversee Local Government matters for St Thomas, Portland, St Ann, Trelawny, St Elizabeth, Clarendon and St James.

While, the PNP will have mayors for Kingston and St. Andrew, St. Mary, Hanover, Manchester, St. Catherine, Portmore and Westmoreland.

The 14 mayors are expected to be sworn in when each corporation meets on Thursday March 7.
