NCB’s Interim CEO assures there’ll be no major job cuts at the bank’s locations
Interim Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at the National Commercial Bank (NCB), Robert Almeida, has indicated that there will be no major job cuts at the bank’s locations soon.
This, amidst concern about potential job losses as the bank continues with its digitalization mandate.
In recent years, NCB has closed several branches and made more than 100 roles redundant.
Responding to questions at a press briefing on Thursday, Mr. Almeida noted that while the bank’s focus is on efficiency, there are ways to achieve this without cutting staff.
