Natoya Goule finishes third in Paris Diamond League

Commonwealth Games bronze medalist Natoya Goule was the only Jamaican to secure a podium finish yesterday at the latest stop of the Wanda Diamond League series which took place in Paris .

Goule, who contested the women’s 800 metres, copped third place after running a season best one-minute-58.23 seconds.

The race was won by keely hodgkinson in a world lead and british national record one-minute-55.77 seconds with the american ajee wilson second in a season-best  one-minute-58.16 seconds.

In the men’s 100 metres, 2011 world champion Yohan Blake finished 4th in 10.16 seconds with the American Noah Lyles claiming victory in 9.97 seconds.

Over in the women’s 400 metres candice mcleod was 6th in a season-best 50.80 seconds…..the race won by Marileidy Paulino of the Dominican Republic in a meet record 49.12 seconds.

Danniel Thomas-dodd in the meantime finished 4th in the women’s shot put with a throw of 19.25 metres.
