National Swimming record holder Kito Campbell pays tribute to Coach Sion Brinn

National record holder Kito Campbell having started the year on a record breaking note, is paying tribute to his coach, Jamaican Olympian Sion Brinn.

Last Wednesday, Campbell who is in his freshman year at Indian River State College in Florida, blazed to victory in the men’s 50 yard breaststroke in a time of 25.14 seconds.

A feat that saw him bettering his national record of 25.19 set in 2022, and leading the Junior College rankings in the breaststroke events.

The former calabar standout then completed the double, clocking 55.32 seconds to claim victory in the 100 yard breaststroke at the meet where his school competed against Rochester Institute of Technology and Grand Valley State University.

Speaking with Irie Fm Sports, Campbell who described working with Brinn as fun also outlined the areas in which he had improved.
