The National Road Safety Council is urging motorists to take all necessary precautionary measures, in light of expected poor weather conditions over the next few days.

Vice Chairman of the National Road Safety Council Dr. Lucien Jones made the appeal, as tropical storm Melissa approaches Jamaica.

Dr. Jones pointed out that motorists should go slow and maintain a safe distance from other vehicles when travelling on wet roads.
