National Road Safety Council calls on Municipal Corporations to take swift action against owners of stray animals linked to fatal crashes

Vice-Chairman of the National Road Safety Council, Dr. Lucien Jones is calling on Municipal Corporations to take swift action against owners of stray animals linked to several fatal crashes.

Dr. Jones’s appeal follows the recent death of two motorcyclists who were reportedly killed while evading stray animals along roadways.

He stated that since the start of the year, six people have died while trying to avoid stray animals.

He explained that Municipal Corporations need to act quickly to prevent further road crashes.

In the meantime, Dr. Jones expressed disappointment in the increased number of fatal crashes on the roads since the start of the year.
