NAJ President calls on the nation’s nurses to prioritize their health

President of the Nurses Association of Jamaica, Dawn Marie Richards, is calling on the nation’s nurses to prioritize their health, so they can effectively care for others.

Today is International Nurses Day being observed under the theme “Our nurses. Our future. The economic power of care.”

In a statement today, the NAJ President acknowledged the nation’s nurses, noting they continue to work through adverse situations in environments that are often poor.

She called on nurses to continue to fly the banner of nursing high, as they create a positive impact on the lives of those with whom they interact.

Meantime, the NAJ President urged nurses to make their health a priority.

She added that the Nurses Association will continue to work on behalf of members to meet its mandates and to propel the profession to the highest attainable levels.
