Member of Parliament for Kingston East and Port Royal, Phillip Paulwell has chastised telecom providers for not maintaining a high level of service to customers.

Over the years, customers have complained about various issues such as slow internet and non-existent service, despite paying their bills.

Mr. Paulwell who is a former Minister of Technology said the standards of the telecoms providers have fallen.

He also noted that Jamaica should decide when it will adopt 5G Technology, especially if it is to remain competitive.

He was speaking at the orientation ceremony for the third cohort of the Technology Advancement Programme Residential Coding Course at the Stony Hill Heart Academy in Kingston.
