Mount Pleasant striker Trivante Stewart will be plying his trade in Italy’s top flight football league………the Serie A’.
This as he has put pen to paper with former second division champions Salernitana.
It comes after a remarkable campaign in the Jamaica Premier League where he scored a team-leading 18 goals to lead Mount Pleasant to its maiden title while also finishing second in the golden boot race behind Colin Anderson.
The 23 year old who has three senior caps for Jamaica is reportedly already in Salerno, Italy and is awaiting the completion of his medical, which is set for today.
in completing the move, Stewart who has 30 goals in 66 Jamaica Premier League games, joins Reggae Girlz defender Allyson Swaby who yesterday joined AC Milan, as Jamaicans who will be plying their trade in Italy this upcoming season.
Salernitana who finished 15th last season will open their campaign on the road against A.S Roma on Sunday.
