Montego-Bay Chamber and UCC collaborate to conduct study on crime impact
The Montego-Bay Chamber of Commerce and the University of the Commonwealth Caribbean, (UCC) have signed a memorandum of understanding for conducting a study on the impact of crime on the second city.
Speaking at the signing ceremony for the agreement Friday, Chamber President Oral Heaven said the collaboration reflects a shared dedication to improving the quality of life in Montego-Bay.
He explained that the study will look at how crime impacts businesses in particular.
Mr Heaven said the study will also look at several social issues.
It will run for an initial five years.
