Melaine prepares for a new hurdle while still pursuing her 100-meter hurdles dream.

Beijing 2008 Olympic 400 hurdles Champion Melaine Walker, is gearing up to take on a new career challenge having indicated earlier this year, that she is still pursuing her dream in the 100-meter hurdles.

Walker who also won the 2009 World Championships in Berlin, is currently assisting at Hydel who currently has a team to compete at this weekend’s East Coast International Showcase in Maryland.

The 41-year-old says she is looking forward to moving into a career in coaching, having already gained experience elsewhere.

The former St Jago star added that the Hydel experience came about with her working with Corey Bennett.

Walker who was inducted in the University of Texas Hall of Honor in 2013, spoke on still pursuing her dream in the 100 meters hurdles.

Walker a three time NCAA Champion, also addressed her detractors.
