Lacovia’s Dockery remains on track for World Under 20’s

Rising Lacovia High stand-out athlete Sabrina Dockery is hoping her Carifta Games form will carry over into this weekend’s East Coast International Showcase in Landover Maryland.

Dockery will be competing in the 100 and 200 meters and is expected to renew rivalry with Muschette’s Shanoya Douglas in both events.

The former Santa Cruz Junior Primary star won the 100 meters at the Carifta Games turning the tables on Edwin Allen’s Thieanna Lee Terrelonge and was third in the 200 meters.

She also had a decent outing at the ISSA Girls Champs where she was second to Terrelonge in the Class two 100 meters before she was disqualified in the 200 meters final where she was the favourite to win.

Dockery who still remains disappointed on that disqualification says she is hoping to come back stronger.

Dockery is also looking towards representing Jamaica at the World Under 20 Championships in Peru in the summer.
