Kingston Mayor Delroy Williams signals government’s intention to improve operations of other popular food spots

Kingston Mayor Delroy Williams has signaled the government’s intention to improve the operations of several popular food spots in Kingston and St. Andrew.

This in the wake of infrastructural and food safety regulated changes at Crab Circle near the National Heroes Circle.

Crab Circle was shut down temporarily following a controversial video which highlighted food safety concerns for customers.

The situation led to the vendors receiving mandatory training and several upgrades were made to the infrastructure at the popular spot.

Speaking with Irie FM News during the official reopening ceremony yesterday, Mayor Williams said the upgrades at Crab Circle will be used as a model for changes at the popular food spot at Harbour View round-a-bout and along Red Hills Road.

He noted that the Harbour View spot requires cooperation from stakeholders, to facilitate changes.

Mayor Williams said upgrading other food spots will be in the best interest of customers and vendors, similar to what was done at Crab Circle.
