Kim Brown Lawrence says Integrity Commission has cleared her of wrong doing following allegations of corruption at CMU

Councillor for the Browns Town Division in St. Ann, Kim Brown Lawrence has indicated that the Integrity Commission, has cleared her of wrong doing, following allegations of corruption relating to the Education Ministry and the Caribbean Maritime University.

She made the declaration today (July 14), while addressing the sitting of the St. Ann Municipal Corporation meeting.

The matter, however, remains before the court.

Brown Lawrence is facing several charges, in relation to controversial agreements between the Education Ministry and the CMU.

Her co-accused are, former Education Minister Ruel Reid, his wife Sharen, their daughter Sharelle, as well as President of the Caribbean Maritime University Fritz Pinnock.

Attempts by Reid and Pinnock to have the case dismissed have so far failed.
