KC Three-Peats in 4×400 at Penns

Kingston College wrapped up a third consecutive 4×400 meters title to close out an outstanding overall performance by Jamaican schools at the 128th running of the Penn Relays in Philadelphia.’
The quartet of Antonio Forbes, Amal Glasgow, Roshawn Lee, and Marchino Rose secured the win in 3 minutes 11.86 seconds.
Excelsior took second place with 3 minutes 12.94 while pre-race favorite Bullis out of Maryland took third spot.
Earlier A breathtaking anchor leg from Kemario Bygrave handed Jamaica College a stunning win by capturing the 4x 800 Championship of America title.
Almost hopelessly out of it with less than 300 meters, Bygrave produced a championship-storming finish for the True Blues to catch Keenan Frisby of St Johns College on the line winning in 7 minutes 42.37.
The J C quartet included Nellie Ambriton, Samuel Creary, Rasheed Pryce, and Bygrave.
Former champions Kingston College and the quartet of Schevorn Wardlow, Jaquan Coke, Nahashon Ruto, Brian Kiprop finished in sixth place in 7 minutes 49.65
Earlier, Excelsior High broke a 57-year drought at the Penn Relays by storming to victory in the boys 4×100 meters Championship of America final.
The boys from Mountain View Avenue delivered a stunning performance in front of cheering Jamaican fans storming to the win in 40.45 seconds.
They were led by the quartet of Ryiem Walker, Damor Miller, Malike Miller, and Lennon Green and they finished ahead of Kingston College, 40.53, and Herbert Morrison 40.56 seconds.
Meanwhile, Team Jamaica featuring Oshane Bailey, Tyquondo Tracey, Ramone Barnswell and Sandrey Davison won the men’s 4×100 Meters in the Olympic Development Series
Team Jamaica clocked 39.59 seconds to finish ahead of Ghana 39.71.
Team Jamaica had to settle for second place in the female event in 44.11 seconds behind Spain who won in 43.97 seconds.
The team included Jodean Williams, Yanique Dayle, Remona Burchell, and Shakoria Wallace.
