JTA approves $35M in support to members affected by Hurricane Melissa
The Jamaica Teachers’ Association (JTA)’s Central Executive has approved a proposal to provide $35 million in initial support to its members, following the passage of Hurricane Melissa.
President Mark Malabver made the disclosure yesterday.
He said $30 million dollars will be allocated to assist with rebuilding efforts.
He said the JTA will also visit western parishes to deliver supplies to members in need.
