JPS launches relief programme for customers recovering from effects of Hurricane Melissa
The Jamaica Public Service (JPS) has launched a relief programme to support residential customers recovering from the effects of hurricane Melissa.
JPS’s Corporate Communications Officer, Darian Reid said the company will suspend service disconnections and late payment fees up to December 15.
JPS’s has advised that the bills that customers will receive in the coming days are for electricity used predominantly before Hurricane Melissa.
Meantime, It said just about 70% of customers now have electricity as crews continue the island wide recovery.
