JLP reviewing its social media policy
The Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) has initiated a comprehensive review of its social media policy and political platform code of conduct.
JLP leader Andrew Holness gave the direction at a meeting of the party’s constituency chairpersons and councillor/candidates, at the Jamaica Conference Centre yesterday (August 13).
The objective of the review is to refine the guidance provided to party members and representatives, regarding their online conduct, and behaviour on various electronic media platforms.
The JLP’s public relations committee will lead the revision process.
As part of the review, the JLP says, it will not only enhance its social media policy, but also update its guidelines for political platform, speeches, and behaviour.
The party acknowledges the significance of professional expertise, in this digital age, and says it will collaborate with specialists to establish new benchmarks and codes of behaviour, for all party members and representatives.
