JFF President Michael Ricketts and coach Lorne Donaldson for 2023 Women’s World Cup draw
JFF President Michael Ricketts and Reggae Girls head coach head coach Lorne Donaldson will represent Jamaica’s Reggae Girls at the draw for the 2023 Women’s World Cup in Auckland on Saturday.
The draw will determine the Reggae Girls opponents at the tournament which has been expanded from a 24 team event to a 32 team tournament.
Team manager Crystal Walters and Press Officer Earl Bailey will also be among the Reggae Girls representation at the draw to be staged at the Aotea Center in Auckland, New Zealand
Only 29 of the 32 qualifiers have been decided so far with the remaining three nations to be decided at the Inter-Confederation play-offs, scheduled to take place in New Zealand between February 18 and February 23, 2023.
In the meantime this week marks the 4th anniversary of the historic qualification of the Reggae Girlz to their first women’s World Cup in France back in 2019.
The reggae girls created history after beating Panama on penalties on October 17, 2018.
