The Jamaica Confederation of Trade Unions JCTU has sought to assure public sector workers, that it is working with the Finance Ministry, to conclude negotiations over outstanding issues for government’s compensation review.

The union has been engaged in protracted discussions with the Ministry over the issues, and the situation has resulted in many workers becoming restive.

Speaking with IRIE FM news, JCTU president, St. Patrice Ennis says the union and the ministry have been exchanging draft material, to reach an agreement.

He says the union is hopeful that this process will conclude early this month.
