The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) says it has deployed several of its members across the Corporate Area to ensure safety among revellers during today’s carnival marches.

Three road marches are scheduled, beginning at 8:15 AM.

Head of the JCF’s Communications Unit, Senior Superintendent (SSP), Stephanie Lindsay says police officers have been out from as early as 3 AM to prepare for the day’s events.

She says the day has been incident-free so far.

SSP Lindsay also notes that the Constabulary is using technology including body cameras to monitor the events and to ensure safety.
