JCF close to achieving its target of 15,000 officers
National Security Minister Dr. Horace Chang said the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) is closer to achieving its target of 15,000 officers.
Dr. Chang was speaking this morning (June 9) at a passing out parade and awards ceremony for 282 new police constables, at the National Police College of Jamaica, in St. Catherine.
The National Security Minister said there are many activities in the JCF which will help to drive employee job satisfaction and provide the basis for personal growth and development of members.
He noted, however, that law enforcement is under constant pressure from criminal networks.
He said the government is delivering on its commitment to make the necessary investment in the force.
