Jamaica’s Reggae Boys drawn in group E’ of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying competition
Jamaica’s Reggae Boys have been drawn alongside Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, Dominica and the British virgin islands or the U.S. Virgin Islands in group E’ for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying competition.
This as the roadmap to the World Cup to be staged in the USA, Canada and Mexico was completed today at the draw for the Concacaf World Cup qualifying tournament at the home of football in Zurich.
The Reggae Boys will bow into action in the second round of qualifiers which will run from June 2024 to June 2025 which will see Jamaica playing each team in the group once……… a total of four matches two at home and two away.
At the completion of the second round, the group winners and runners-up ……..12 teams in total…….. will progress to the final round.
Jamaica’s 1998 World Cup star Ricardo ‘Bibi Gardner was among the FIFA legends serving as draw assistants at todays draw.
He is hopeful that the inspiration from the successful Reggae Girls will help to propel the Reggae Boys forward.
Group A includes Honduras, Honduras, Antigua and Barbuda, Cuba, Bermuda and the Cayman Islands
In group B’ its Haiti, Curaçao, St. Lucia, Barbados and Aruba.
The groups are completed by Panama, Nicaragua, Guyana, Montserrat and Belize in group D and group F with El Salvador, Suriname, Puerto Rico, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and either Turks and Caicos Islands or Anguilla
The schedule for the World Cup qualifiers is now being finalized by Concacaf
