Jamaica’s medal tally moves to five at USA Special Olympic Games
Jamaica’s medal tally has improved to five after 4 days of competition so far at the ongoing USA Special Olympic Games in Orlando, Florida.
This after swimmer Kadian Ingleton splashed up a bronze medal in the women’ s open water 1000 meters final yesterday.
Ingleton stopped the clock at 25 minutes 24.27 seconds, with gold going to Catherine Darrow of Colorado who touched the wall in 21 minutes 16.32 seconds.
It was the second medal for ingleton who won a gold in the 500 yard pool event on Monday.
Jamaica’s total medal count which now includes two gold, two silver and 1 bronze could improve later this morning, with Jamaica set to be represented in the men’s and women’s 100 meters final, as well as the 800 meters final for both genders.
