Jamaican male surfers eliminated from Pan American Surfing Championship
All three of Jamaica’s male surfers, despite valiant attempts, yesterday came up short in their quest to qualify for round 2 in the men’s short board event at the Pan American Surfing championships now underway in Panama.
Ronald Hastings and Ackeam Phillips who were the first into the water, finished fourth in their respective heats.
Captain Elishama Beckford also failed to advance after finishing third in heat eleven.
Attention now turns to the women’s short board competition which will be contested by Wilmot and Zoe Bain.
