The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM), has launched a probe into an alleged shoot- out in Kendal, Hanover that resulted in the death of a 23-year-old man yesterday afternoon.

Dead is Jermaine Campbell.

Assistant Commissioner at INDECOM, Hamish Campbell says the 23-year-old was fatally shot by police who claimed he had fired at them during an operation.

A firearm was allegedly recovered during the incident.

He said no other witness was identified at the scene, but anyone who may have information on the fatal shooting is urged to contact the commission.
