Holness says manifestos were not a critical factor for voters in the Local Government Election

Leader of the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP), Prime Minister Andrew Holness, says though manifestos are important, they were not a critical determining factor for Jamaicans who cast their ballots in today’s Local Government Election.

This amidst concern from some Jamaicans, who believe they did not get sufficient time to examine the manifestos by the JLP and the People’s National Party (PNP).

The JLP published its manifesto yesterday (February 25), two days after the PNP released theirs.

Speaking at the polling station at the Mona High School in Kingston where he cast his vote today, Mr. Holness said the policy positions of the JLP were already made clear to the public.
