Prime Minister Andrew Holness has announced that the homes which were damaged by arsonists in Gregory Park, St. Catherine will be repaired.

A taxi operator from the community was killed during the incident.

Over 40 residents have been left homeless.

Mr. Holness spoke about plans to help the residents on a visit to the area yesterday (August 14).

He said the area was already being considered for development under the new social housing programme and that construction will be fast-tracked.
