Opposition Leader Mark Golding is calling on the government to ramp up its response to areas severely affected by Hurricane Beryl.

Speaking during a tour of Alligator Pond in Manchester today, Mr. Golding said based on his observations, citizens in southern Manchester and southern St. Elizabeth were the most affected.

He said state agencies must increase their efforts to distribute necessities to those affected.

Mr. Golding said the assessments being undertaken need to move rapidly into relief efforts.
