Mcconnell who made his debut last November in Uruguay for JBXE racing is now representing the x44 vida carbon racing team that’s owned by seven time Formula One champion Sir Lewis Hamilton.
The 24 year old in a video on social media said he was happy for the new chapter in his career.
McConnell who replaced the legendary nine-time world rally champion Sebastian Loeb at x44 Vida carbon, is working alongside Spanish driver Cristina Gutiérrez.
The extreme e-championship ends in December and features teams competing in the most remote corners of the planet to highlight the range of climate issues faced by different Ecosystems.
