Former St. Ann most wanted man charged with murder
One of St. Ann’s most wanted has been charged with murder.
He is 41-year-old Dwayne Christie, otherwise called ‘Kojack’, a construction worker of jack’s hill in St. Andrew.
Christie, who was named on the police’s wanted Wednesdays feature, turned himself in on Sunday.
He was in the presence of his attorney.
Christie has been charged with murder, illegal possession of firearm and illegal possession of ammunition, 9 years after a murder in St. Ann.
Investigators charged Christie in connection with the shooting murder of Ronald Gayle in Davis Town, Cascade, in the parish on Friday, September 16, 2016.
The allegations are that Christie and Gayle were at a shop in Davis Town when an argument developed between them.
The argument escalated into a physical altercation.
It is alleged that Christie left the area, but later returned with a firearm, which he used to shoot Gayle, killing him.
On Monday, September 22, Christie was formally charged after an interview.
His court date is being finalized.
