Fitz-Henley urges members of his party to get their house in order ahead of local gov’t polls
With the local government elections expected to be called in the next few months, Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) senator Abka Fitz-Henley has urged members of his party to put their house in order.
The elections are constitutionally due by February 28, next year.
Prime Minister Andrew Holness has indicated there will be no further postponement of the polls.
Speaking at a JLP Southeast St. Catherine constituency conference, yesterday, Fitz-Henley reiterated the Prime Minister’s message while urging party members to be ready.
Meanwhile, against the background of recent polls indicating the PNP is ahead of the JLP, Fitz-Henley said the JLP is not campaigning based on polls.
