The National Fisheries Authority (NFA) has signalled its intention to increase its educational programmes in the new year. 

Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Gavin Bellamy says the aim is to build awareness among citizens, especially fisherfolk, about how their actions can impact the fishing industry. 

Dr. Bellamy explains that the educational programmes will be one critical element, among several initiatives to be employed or enhanced in 2024.
