Firefighter calls for resources to be easier available to assist with emergencies
There is a call for resources to be made more readily available to assist Jamaicans during emergency situations.
The need for such resources was highlighted, following Tuesday’s oil spill, which led to accidents involving seven-vehicles along the Spur Tree main road in Manchester.
The incident left several people injured, and a policeman hospitalized.
Speaking to reporters, district officer, at the Mandeville Fire Station, Fitzroy Donaldson, explained how a lack of emergency resources, posed difficulties in transporting injured persons from the accident scene.
He said, he hopes efforts will be made to address the issue.
