Fire breaks out at Mandeville police station
A fire broke out inside the Manchester division commander’s office at the Mandeville police station, on Monday evening.
The blaze was quickly contained, but several appliances, namely a refrigerator, microwave and air conditioning unit were destroyed.
Preliminary reports are that about 6:55 p.m., flames were seen inside the office of Superintendent Shane McCalla, which is on the second floor of the police station.
The Manchester fire department was called and two units responded.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze.
Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire.
