A female teacher has been hospitalized after she was found along a roadway in Duhaney Park, St Andrew with gun shot wounds to the head last evening.

It has been reported that the woman who is from Grants Pen was last seen entering a vehicle after visiting the Grants Pen Police Station.

The Grants Pen community has been tense following several shooting incidents recently.

The shootings have prompted a curfew and heightened police presence.
