Farm flood bill estimated at $50M
The estimated loss suffered by the nation’s farmers as a result of the recent heavy rains is approximately 50 million dollars.
Scores of farmers in St. Elizabeth, Manchester, St. Ann, St. Mary, Trelawny, and Clarendonn were affected.
President of the Jamaica Agricultural Society, Lenworth Fulton told Irie FM News that the 50-million-dollar bill could increase as more assessments are being conducted.
