Family members in custody as probe continues into death of Jamaican-UK citizen
2 persons have been taken into custody in relation to the murder of a Jamaican man who was killed after returning from the United Kingdom.
Dead is 48-year-old Michael Brown, also known as Jimmy, of Waterford, in England and Mike Town in Manchester.
The persons in custody are relatives of Brown.
It’s alleged that Brown’s murder stems from a family feud over land.
Brown recently returned to Jamaica following his mother’s death. His body was found on a section of the family home on Thursday morning.
Head of the Manchester police division, Shane McCalla said that due to the murder case being linked to a domestic dispute, agents from the Restorative Justice Centre have been called in to intervene.
