DPP defends work of law enforcement officers and prosecutors amid criticisms
Director of Public Prosecutions, Paula Llewellyn, has sought to defend the work of law enforcement officers, and prosecutors.
In recent times, there have been several criticisms about the effectiveness of law enforcement and members of the judiciary, in keeping criminals off the streets.
However, during day one of a two-day criminal investigation branch conference, hosted by the constabulary force yesterday, Ms Llewellyn said, law enforcement officers have done good work.
She also lauded the efforts of the prosecution, stating that its work has resulted in guilty pleas.
